Nunastar Properties owns and manages 300 residential apartment and townhome rental units in Iqaluit, Nunavut as well as the Astro Hill retail and hotel complex. Astro Hill is the only enclosed mall in Iqaluit and incorporates indoor access to the Frobisher Inn, the Caribrew Cafe, a Royal Bank bank machine, the Storehouse Bar & Grill, the City of Iqaluit swimming pool, a movie theatre, pharmacy, convenience store, government offices, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and other amenities. The Nunastar real estate portfolio was acquired in 1998.
The Explorer Hotel - Yellowknife, NWT
The Explorer Hotel is the largest hotel in Northern Canada and has 187 rooms with full conference and meeting facilities with meeting and dinner capacity for groups up to 350 people. It is the top business hotel in the North and has been completely refurbished and expanded in recent years. Touchstone has owned and operated the Explorer since 2004.
The Frobisher Inn - Iqaluit, Nunavut
The Frobisher Inn is the leading business hotel in the Eastern Arctic. With 96 rooms, it is the largest hotel in Nunavut and also incorporates full service conference and meeting facilities. The conference facilities can handle receptions for over 250 people. Touchstone has owned and operated the Frobisher Inn since 1998.
